Why Should You Get Home Security?

The Metropolitan Police advise that "Alarm systems are a worthwhile investment in the protection of your home". Research shows that a burglar is more likely to avoid places where security systems are installed - proving to be a good visual deterrent.

2009 study by Rutgers found that, as the number of home security systems increased in an area, the number of residential robberies decreased in that area, even for people who didn’t have their own security system. Having a security system not only protects you, but helps your neighborhood be a safer place for everyone. Adding a security system to your home gives you an extra layer of defense against any potential intruders. Whether you rent or own, you can enjoy the benefits that come with having a security system.

FAQs

We can advise you and show you some of the devices we usually install in houses or business buildings before making your final decision.
The door/window sensors are very suitable for sliding windows and stacker doors. You place one part on the moving window and the other part on the frame. When they open apart from each other it sends a signal to the alarm panel.
You can install the sensors up to 100m away from the alarm panel. The PIR's have a detection range of 12m or more depending on settings and PIR's used.
You could possibly get a discount, it isn't always the case. Each household has to look at this option carefully themselves, once you take this route if you forget to set your alarm and by chance you get burgled , the insurance company will have your alarm checked to see if you set it, if you forgot to set it then your pay out could be ZERO. We advise against this, we advise you install an alarm for your own peice of mind and do not attach it to any type of insurance as you dont gain much from it.
In simple terms "no".The only time you need an insurance approved installer is to aquire a URN = Unique Ref Number for police response, not all companies support this but most like us will support key holder response, or to recieve a minimal discount with your insurer, its common to get caught out here if you attach your alarm to any policy it WILL be checked in the event of any incident as they WILL avoid any pay out if YOU didnt set or maintain your alarm, so unless you want to save a few pounds in relative terms or need police response "approved" has no relation to a company or its installers in what you may get.
No, the SIM card is something you must purchase for your security system. You may choose any provider you prefer. We recommend a long expiry date as you wont be using it very much, call or sms credit.
The alarm system speaks wirelessly to accessories, meaning less need to chase wires. However, the main panel, external siren and keypad need to be hard wired to each other. The system comes with a built in back up battery, so incase of a power failure, it will still be armed and activated using the backup battery (this recharges automatically from the power supply).
Absolutely yes!! Many electronic products can have problems, but we use trusted well known brands in the security industry.
We can change the system to suit your needs. Want a standard system with only 3 PIR sensors instead of 4 but an extra door sensor? No problem we can add to a system as they are all upgradable.
Absolutely! We highly recommend doing this as it extends the battery life even further. Instructions are in the user manual.
Our sensors can go a distance of up to 100m from the panel. So if your garage falls within this range, more than likely yes it will work.
Usually the sound of the siren scares them off before the attention gets drawn to them. They make a run for it before they get a chance to break the unit, they have to find it first, and the external siren will continue to ring regardless.
No problem, phone support always available to help you through the process.
Our alarms have a back up battery that is automatically charged when connected to power. This will give you approx 6-8hrs with no power supply.
